Fizzy Tower

This is a classic experiment, create a tower oozing with fizzy foam by combining vinegar and bicarbonate of soda. You've probably seen this being used in a volcano project but this one is less messier.

Material:
1. Vinegar
2. A teaspoonful of bicarbonate of soda
3. A piece of paper roll (toilet paper) or tissue paper
4. Dishwashing liquid
5. Used plastic or glass bottle
6. Food colouring. (Optional)
7. Oven tray (Optonal, helps you tidy up quickly after the experiment)

Instruction:
1. Wash used plastic or glass bottle to clean.
2. Place bottle on an oven try and pour in vinegar to half-full.
3. Add a desirable amount of dishwashing liquid. The more dishwashing liquid the thicker the foam.
4. Add a few drops of food colouring to add effects.
5. Wrap a teaspoonful of bicarbonate of soda to a piece of paper roll. Make sure it will fit in the bottle.
6. Carefully insert the wrapped bicarbonate of soda in the bottle
7. Stand back and watch foam slowly oozing out from the bottle.

Explanation:
When vinegar (acetic acid) and bicarbonate of soda (sodium bicarbonate) are mixed together a chemical reaction occurs. This reaction produces a lots of bubble of a gas called carbon dioxide.
